Wells Fargo-specific tips
Header location
Wells Fargo Everyday Checking statements lead with "Statement period activity summary · Beginning balance on Month Day · Ending balance on Month Day". The splitter picks up the beginning month as the canonical date.
Multi-page statements
Long monthly statements (50+ pages of transactions) keep the same period header in a small footer on each page. The splitter recognises both, so even very dense statements split correctly.
Estatement archive downloads
Wells Fargo's "Combine statements" download bundles up to 24 months. Drop it in and out come 24 named PDFs.
Wells Fargo statement splitter — FAQ
What if my Wells Fargo statement spans two months?+
We use the START of the statement period as the canonical month. So a Jan 15 – Feb 14 statement gets named Jan-YYYY.pdf. If you'd rather use the END, adjust the month on the detected group before splitting.
Split a Chase statement
Chase statements use "Statement period" headers with MM/DD/YYYY dates. Detection works out of the box.
Split a Bank of America statement
BofA statements have "Statement Beginning" and "Statement Ending" headers. We detect the beginning month.
Split a Citi statement
Citi credit-card and checking statements use "Billing period" with MM/DD/YY format. We detect both.
Split a Capital One statement
Capital One uses "Statement Period" with Mon DD, YYYY format. Reliable detection across all card and bank products.
